Questions and answers
Do I need an account?
No. Accounts, transactions, budgets and goals are stored only on your phone.
Who can see my finances?
Only you: we have no access to your data, and there are no ads, analytics or trackers. In a shared budget, records are encrypted on your phone before they are sent, and only the devices in your space can read them.
How does the shared budget work?
Create a space with Pro and invite another phone with a link — records appear on every device within seconds, and joining is free. The encryption key lives only in the invitation or recovery key and never reaches our server.
How do automatic bank records work?
It’s a Pro feature: give Kopiyka notification access and choose your banks. The app reads only their notifications — the amount, merchant and last card digits — and processes them only on your phone.
How do I connect monobank?
Auto-import is part of Pro: get a personal token at api.monobank.ua and add it in Kopiyka. The token is read-only, stays encrypted on your phone, is sent only to monobank, and you can revoke it at any time.
How do the AI features work?
They work only when you start them: just what a request needs goes to Google Gemini through our relay, which doesn’t store request contents or photos. Voice is recognised by your phone’s system, and the chat history is stored only on your phone.
Can I import a bank statement?
Yes, from CSV and Excel (.xlsx). Files are processed only on your phone.
Where do exchange rates come from?
From the open API of the National Bank of Ukraine — none of your data is sent.
How do I move to a new phone?
With a backup or a shared budget. For security, the monobank token isn’t transferred — add it again.
How do I delete all data?
“Settings → Delete all data” or uninstalling the app; a phone in a shared space leaves it first, and when the last device leaves, the server deletes all of the space’s records. You can also write to us and we’ll delete the space by its ID.
